OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Carmen Szeto
I’m Carmen, an occupational therapist based in Sydney with a background in psychology. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked across paediatrics, mental health, and rural communities, providing support both face-to-face and via telehealth. I have been privileged to work alongside neurodiverse children and their families - including Autistic and ADHD children, and children with developmental delays, learning differences, intellectual disabilities, motor coordination challenges, and experiences of trauma.
My practice is grounded in respect, curiosity, and the belief that every child’s way of experiencing the world is valid and worth celebrating. I have a particular interest in regulation, and I draw on a range of approaches to support children’s participation and connection, including DIRFloortime®, Learn to Play, and Tuning into Kids (as a certified facilitator).
Being fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin allows me to connect with families in the language that feels most natural and comfortable for them.
Outside of work, I love coastal walks, travelling and singing in the choir.
OUR APPROACH
Empowering Children
Through Therapy
We focus on supporting children's overall regulation to enhance their daily functioning. Our neuroaffirming, strength-based approach is centered on culturally sensitive care, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with families and educators. We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in children's lives, helping them thrive in their everyday activities.
